Eco-Logic

Here are some of our green choices in harmony with the environment, for an eco-sustainable holiday:

ORGANIC FARM
In 2013 we converted all agriculture to the organic farming system, and in particular our arable crops and especially our olive grove.
We produce and package our Tuscan Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

We have also set up a Synergetic Vegetable Garden that sometimes allows us to make our products available to guests or to organize activities with children.
We have always tried to follow eco-sustainable practices and this was a choice that could not be missed.

SOLAR ENERGY
The Farm has a 18.48 kW peak photovoltaic field, with a projected annual electricity production of approximately 24,000 kW h/year.
This production is sufficient to cover all the electrical needs of the farm.
The energy provided every year by the solar plant is equivalent to that obtained from 59 TOE (tonnes of oil equivalent) with a reduction in emissions equivalent to more than 370 tonnes of CO2.

SOLAR THERMAL PANELS
In 2012 a solar thermal panel was installed with a 300 liter water boiler sufficient to supply hot water to all the bathrooms in the Yurts and the Treehouse.

WELLS FOR WATER
Two wells and a water reservoir are used for the recovery and storage of up to 50,000 liters of rainwater; one is located in the center of the farm, and is used for irrigation; the other is used to irrigate the vegetable garden for the family.
The tank supplies water for the sanitary services of the Eco-Agri-Camping.

BIODEGRADABLE DETERGENTS
We have chosen biodegradable cleaning products with the utmost respect for the environment.

ECOLOGIC PAINT
During the renovation we used natural paints and primers, suitable for green building, to ensure you a healthy stay.

DRINKING WATER DISTRIBUTOR
We have made available to all our guests (at cost price) a water dispenser that purifies the water we receive from the municipality of Montescudaio.
Its main task is to remove limescale and chlorine to make it pleasant to drink. It also makes cold and sparkling water.
We also supply a set of glass bottles to those interested, which can be filled whenever needed.
In this way we save and save our guests hundreds of plastic bottles every year.
